Why Rejection Might Just Be Best Thing That Ever Happened!

Why Rejection Might Just Be Best Thing That Ever Happened!

Embrace rejection:

You get to identify the exposed link(s) in your chain. The little chinks in your armour that are holding you back from becoming the resourceful genius you know you can be.

Rejection hurts.

Rejection is inevitable.

Rejection can be brutal.

And because of these undesirable feelings we encounter, we then go to great lengths to avoid feeling them again.

So, we don’t apply for the job or the role that we would really love to go for. Or we don’t speak to the person we’ve always wanted to talk with because we have this belief that they might reject us. Or we play small and keep our ideas to ourselves because ‘someone’ will disapprove or condemn them.

I have to say this NOW: Rejection isn’t actually the worst thing in the world.

Regardless of how much we want to avoid rejection, it exists.

The crucial thing, is to be skilled at dealing with rejection. Like any other skill in this world that we can learn, the more we practice it the better we get at it!

Remember these quotes:

‘You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.’ Or ‘Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.’

See the thing is, you might fail, but at least this way you are giving it a go. The biggest regret that can occur in your life is when you do not even bother to give things a go. You don’t even attempt to have a go. THAT… is the worst action or lack thereof.

To put it bluntly, if you do not attempt, or give things a go you are allowing ‘fear’ to dictate your life.

So, what if we turn this fear around.

What if…

We embrace rejection?

It means the next time rejection begins to raise its head, we’ll be less terrified of it. That sounds like a great idea, doesn’t it?

If we view rejection with a different lens to our usual negative one, rejection can also mean there are areas we get to improve on.

It’s a terrific situation to be in.

You get to identify the exposed link(s) in your chain. The little chinks in your armour that are holding you back from becoming the resourceful genius you know you can be.

Most people would give up at this point. They view the pressure as too much. They think they cannot go further.

However, there is always more in your tank than you ever think! I tell you this with wholehearted experience, compassion and love. YOU CAN ALWAYS GIVE MORE AND BE MORE!

Take rejection by the hand, embrace it, thank it for showing up and also say thank you for presenting other opportunities (that you may not see yet) that are available to you and then, go after them like there is no tomorrow!

Allow the rejection to empower you for greatness!
